Seeking PROPER exhaust stud install

I have sifted through pages upon pages of conflicting suggestions and misinformation looking for the RIGHT way to install new exhaust studs in the block. I want to do this right...by the book.

My thoughts/questions:

Chase the threads in the block first using some sort of lubricant...with a stud...tap and die?

Though some suggest it, Loctite is pointless since it is good only up to 450 F.

Use a nickel-based high-temperature antiseize compound on the new studs.

How tight do you torque the studs before bolting on the exhaust manifold?

Any procedure and suggestions welcome.
