This doesn't happen very often, but when it does, I'm pretty much stumped as to how/why it happens.

I may be wrong, but when I open the passenger side door or even the hatch, or any other door other than the driver side, I get this problem. Doesn't happen often, but the security lights go off in the dash (3 beeps, then 3 fast beeps) and refuses to let me start the car.

The dash and HVAC lights light up as it beeps also. The only thing I can do is pop the hood, disconnect the battery and leave my key in the ignition, reconnect battery, then start the car and then it's fine. Surely, this can't be the only way to bypass this. Thoughts??? Also: should I invest in keyless entry? Security is stock at this point.

 

Anyone had this happen before??

 

There's a way to bypass a relay that disables the starter, search for click click start. Dont know if it will affect all that other stuff.
