Security Light Flashing

Hey Guys,
I tried to search, but could not find any post by people that are having the same problem as I am, unless I happened to over look it.

Anyway, last week after an open track day, my car's seat belt light came on for a little bit and beeped at me. It eventually stopped and I thought nothing about it and that was the only time it happened.

Now when I got home, I went back out to my car later on after it had been sitting for a while and the security light along with the light above the ignition was blinking. This was while the car was off and the doors were unlocked. The only way to stop it is to keep the key in the ignition, or those two lights will blink constantly.

Does anyone have any idea whats going on and know how to fix this? Thanks in advance for any help.

Jon

You may want to start with the connectors at the doors. Behind the wheather cover if water has gotten in there and started corroding things this will cause weird intermitten problems. Check both sides. Then you may have to look at CPU-2 under the drivers side kick panel

my seatbelt light blinks all the time when the car is on. I have been told it's probably a bad cpu like the above mentioned post. Have not picked up a used one yet to see if it goes away though.

Thanks for the help. I followed the advice of one of those threads and disconnected my battery for 24 hours and put it back on and the security light still flashes and now my seatbelt warning light flashes constantly, but the beep stops when I put my belt on.

I checked my wheel well liners and none of them are worn through or show any signs of scrapes. Which makes me think it may be ecu #2. However, I dont have the electrical trouble shooting manual. Does anyone have a pic of what it looks like? I have my carpet torn back and looked around, but am lost when I get to that part.

Thanks in advance
