^^ i would doubt that the oem hood latch can be purchased seperately, but that would be a great bonus 2 us if it could be. keep us posted Mamamia

Thanks. I hate hood pins but I'd hate to have my hood pop up at speed more.

i think it is normal for the hood to move a little bit. Imo hood pins on a stock hood are far from necessary.

My brother had the hood flip up on him going down the road and it was stock. I think the hook was a bit worn and gave out though.

just called Ray and he informed me that the latch is welded to the hood so it's not available to purchase separately. I am going to call Shine to see if they will fix it for me.

i saw on my friends 3rd gen, the hook thats attached to the underside of the hood was worn thru about 1/8th of an inch.

He got hood pins.

Check your hook & latch for wear and tear. Maybe if its worn down you can source a replacement.

Duct tape around the hood latch fixed that for me, although its ghetto. No one sees it but me .
