Unhappy secondary turbo noise?

I just ported my wastegate because I am planning on running a midpipe soon. I put everything back together but something is not right because the secondary turbo makes boost but it sounds like a mini chainsaw when it boosting, and also if I stay on it I get a fuel cut feel where my car bucks. Please help I supposed to get my car tuned by steve kan next saturday so i need help fast. Thanks.

Do you have exhaust leaks also. I had the same problem one time. it turn out to be a stud on the exhaust manifold, it was too long and keep the turbo from sitting flush to the manifold. when I took the turbo out again, i notice a shiney spot where the stud been hitting the turbo. I think noise comes form, the combination of exhuast leaks and the stud put pressure on the turbo and cause the turbine wheel to rub on the housing. good luck.

It's a very bad sign for the turbo to make noise while spinning. You may have messed something up when you ported the WG.

I would take off the intake pipe and check for play/damage at the compressor wheel.

That doesn't make any sense. If your turbine wheel was hitting the housing, it would then be out of balance and soon destroy itself.

That's all assuming the manifold stud could somehow get affect the turbo internals...

I have checked out the wheel it seems fine it spins just as freely as the front one no shaft play and i cant see any thing that could be messing it up.

Did you visually inspect it? If it's fine, then maybe the noise is from something hitting the turbine.

Things that could mess it up would be debris or improper alignment of the CHRA/housing from assembly.

Good luck.
