Secondary Turbo kicks in late ~ around 5500 rpm

After replacing my old sprak plugs that were basically dead and installed new set of spark plug wires, o2 sensor and fuel filter.. my boost is back to normal and my car is kicking 10lbs very easy. Before the installment of the parts listed above, I did have boost problems...

The only problem I notice now is the secondary turbo will intermittently not come on until 5500 rpms or 5800 or so...

It is hard to watch the boost guage when accelerating like this, but you can usually feel the transistion from primary to secondary, and it usually puts you back in your seat pretty fast...

Now i understand that the turbos can get locked in non sequential mode, and im not sure if this is happening or not..

The secondary turbo seems to kick very hard at the end of second around 5500 or so no later..

But when I am in third the secondary seems to hesitate for a bit and not come on until i reach around 6k sometimes...

Like i said before, maybe the transition has become alot smoother for some reason. But its really hard to keep an eye on the Boost guage comming out of 3rd hard =)

I just wanted to know if anyone has had similar symptoms with their car before. Or even if this makes sense to anyone

may need to replace / check the actuator on your secondary turbo --- also check the lines going to the actuator

you will need to pull the vacuum line running to it from the manifold so you can bend it to look for hairline cracks.

I will let you know in a few days time; I just picked up a bone stock 94 FD and the secondary turbo is acting up on me in a similar fashion.

First step is to replace my spark plugs, if I do not get results from this I will figure out an approach to work on the turbo actuators.

I think I will end up on my back, underneath the car for this one.
