Seats from Mitsu Evo 8/9 in an FD?

Since mint stock seats are getting harder and harder to find, and getting more expensive at the same time I have been thinking about alternatives.

Has anyone tried the Recaros out of the Evo 8/9? I searched but could not find any information.

I thought they would make a good supportive DD seat, and they can be had at a reasonable price on the used market.

Any thoughts.

Get the measurements of the seat and see if they fit.

I seriously doubt they are narrow and short enough. But ^^^ get some measurements for your self and see.

On the floor you'll have just over 18". I just tried to install a set of Recaro SRDs in my FD on sliders. The ***** for reclining would not clear trans tunnel, I even tried removing them.

Let me know if you find a seat that reclines & will fit well. I have leather & would like a cloth seats.

Good Luck,
Mike K.

Stock FD seats barely fit into the FD to begin with.

Here is a link with measurements to the same Recaro seats found in the EVO 8/9. Maybe someone with someone with the necesssary measurements could tell us if they have a chance of fitting.

http://www.recaro.com/index.php?id=3882&region=3&L=2

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

just by looking at the size of both cars i don't think they'll fit. it will be way too big, unless you can somehow modify the area or the seat =\

Aaron,

If you could take a quick look at the measurements it would be great! BUT, from the feed back, I guess we're out of luck....
