seat switch

Like everyone else, my driver seat bolster is wearing more than the rest of the seat. yet my passenger seat is as new. Has anyone tried to switch the entire seat or jus teh seatback from passenger to driver and vice-versa to be able to use the nicer passenger seat on the driver side?
thanks!

They are not mirror opposites. The covers will not fit due to the levers and seatbelts and stuff, so I imagine you'd have to modify or deal with some foam showing.

These covers are around $350/ea from Mazda ($1000/seat), so if I were you I'd get a local upholstery shop to quote you for patch repair.

Thanks Dave. Didn't even think that Mazda sold the covers still. I'll check out a local shop to see if they can redye the spot to match the seat.
