I have tan leather seats and I am getting new leather installed in a different color. I was wondering if the part on the sides of the seats (where the handle is to recline the seats) comes off? And if so how easily? I am going to have to paint it and am not sure how to go about it.

 

The handle comes off, as does the plastic cover. Further you can unbolt the metal bracket that holds the top and bottom halves of the seat together, as well as the seat belt receptacle. It all comes off.
