Scrapping noise when clutch engaged??

When i engage the clutch I hear a clunking and scrapping noise. I figured it was either the pilot or throwout bearing. Will the bearing just wear out and the problem go away? If not, if anyones got a good deal on a clutch i'd like it...

It's probably the pilot bearing and the noise will only get worse over time as the bearing wears out further. If you still hear the noise when the clutch is completely pushed to the floor it could be the throwout bearing.

And as the Pilot bearing goes out, it will start working on the input shaft bearing surface and score that up real good. Then you'll be looking for a clutch and tranny.

Sounds like the pilot bearing. I would get it fixed sooner or later. It will eventually get hard to get into gear and then will get stuck into gear. Save some money and get a new clutch

Well I brung the car home after it started happening and let it sit and then i went out and it was still doin it and after a couple of miles it stopped completely and hasnt made the noise since. Should I still get a new clutch or has it just wore off?
