Not sure, but most people aren't doing 850cc primaries any more. With a PowerFC they idle rich and are hard to get a good idle on.
If you do need larger primaries going with a good fuel rail and Injector Dynamics injectors is a way better way to do it.
If you just need more fuel on twins, the Rotary Performance 2000cc secondary rail kit is a nice setup. $550 or so with everything. If you need more fuel all around, a Full Function Engineering fuel rail kit and ID injectors is a great way to get more fuel but still have a good idle, easy tuning, and smooth response.

Was this to replace your secondaries or primaries? I would be interested in the part numbers. However, Dale's post suggest I look at other setups also. Will consider all input especially the note on idle issues on with the 850ccs on primaries..let me know your setup please.
Thanks.

FWIW if you're starting fresh and choosing a new setup, choose the rotary performance option Dale is suggesting. I'm actually looking at doing that option and going back to stock primaries as a way to prepare my setup to go single eventually but still work with twins now.

I run the old-school setup of 850s in both primary and secondary's. So my purchase was to actually replace all 4 when doing a refresh on the car. The upside to the 850s as primaries is it's a quick and cheaper way to get the fuel you need. The downside as Dale mentioned is that it'll run rich at idle. I've had good idle on my setup for years with the PFC, but it's definitely rich and stinky. On a mostly track car like mine it's not a huge issue, but for a more street oriented car there are better options these days.

Given this knowledge would you (or Dale) still suggest the secondary kit or the primary 850 option?

Definitely go with larger secondaries. 850cc primaries have gone the way of the dodo - that's a mod left over from days when there just weren't many options out there for adding fuel or bigger injectors.
The Rotary Performance setup is nice because it's a bolt on, it comes with everything you need, it uses the stock fuel pressure regulator and stock lines.
I would also read Banzai Racing's step-by-step of modifying a stock FD and dyne results. You may be able to get where you want with an upgraded and re-wired fuel pump, I think they show how much power they were able to make with the stock injectors. But, RP's fuel rail is a great option to go to the next step if you need that headroom, with that and a good rewired fuel pump you can handle anything the twins can do.
