Although I've never heard of the fluttering problem at highway speeds on an FD, I've heard about it with other cars, its basically a resonance caused by the pressure difference between outside and inside. Try cracking the passenger window just a bit and see if it goes away. As for the accident history, you can get this fixed, but I'd try to take some kind of action against the seller for misrepresenting the car. I know its too late for now, but next time, one of those questions on your list should always be, "has the car been in an accident?" And "do you have all the service records?" As for getting it fixed, to do it right you're going to need to at least strip off all the paint on the D-side so you can see how extensive the damage is. I have a feeling there's some big dents from a fender bender that were just filled in with a ton of bondo and painted over . Hopefully thats the extent of the damage. You can keep an eye out for doors and fenders for sale, plus http://www.mazdarecycling.com/ has some I'm sure. Good luck.

Wind flutter
The wind flutter is or seems to be a charictoristic of this car with the windows down. I've noticed it to be wosre on some occassions depending on what direction the wind is hitting the car from. I have a moon roof so I can change the air flow in the car by opening it or even turning on the fan and the recirculation of will help. I live in Fla. so the A/C is on more than not. The Montego Blue car has pearl in the pase coat that gives it the flop color change, it even looks black at night.
