I guess I should've worded this all better.
Well its not that consistent. Before I was on the stock ecu with a fuel pump. Courtesy of the idiot previous owner. So my motor was flooding and running rich. Now the ECU is in car runs great... no flooding...not painfully rich. I just want a good plug as a preventative measure..and the BUR9EQ's supposedly suck anyway.

Wow.... You really are not listening... at all.

Just because it is plug and play... does NOT mean that it will be a perfect tune for YOUR car. You can take 2 cars, identical in every way, and both of them may require slightly different tunes. The Pettit ECU is a 'SAFE' tune for a given set of mods... and in the RX7 world, safe generally translates into "RICH".

That's funny, you keep seeing that "rich" word pop up in the responses. Perhaps it is because there are plenty of members here that know RX7's, and quite possibly many other cars, much better than you or I do.

Try listening.


As for now, go waste your money where ever you want. You obviously don't want advice, you just want to hear someone say "Yeah man, it's a great idea. You are awesome. You'll be fine. No-one has ever thought of that!"

Dude. All I asked is if it works or not. Or is it safe. I'm not spending any money. As I work at a shop..and there are 3 sets sitting here...and available. So I figured why not give em a try after reading 2 other threads.
