Exclamation is it safe?!?!?!????

Ok, well I am thinkign about getting an install job done from a local bud on the forums or a different shop other than XS. But I want to take it to XS for tuning no doubt. So I was wondering if I get a bunch of stuff installed like: turbos, dp/mp, CB, intake, enfini y, 1300cc injectors, fuel pump, intercooler...if on the base map PFC I could drive it up to 20 miles safely laying off the throttle so I can get it to XS for tuning....any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

disconnect the tubing for the wastegate to the turbo, and have them do the 1300's... or if you know how to tell the pfc that you have the 1300's install those too.. but if you don't know, you'll flood the engine, or run really rich... either way make sure you can't boost and you should be fine...

Again, where do people come up with this stuff? Keeping out of boost on the highway is impossible with a properly functioning turbo system.

My advice is to set the boost controller to off (if you don't have one, lower the PFC boost duty cycles to keep boost to reasonable levels) or pull the pill out of the wastegate line. If you really want to be safe, go into the PFC fuel map and add 3% fuel to boost cells.

EDIT: The midpipe is a quick install. Have XS install it. Driving with the stock cat in place will prevent boost creep, reduce spiking, and generally be much safer to drive with.

You're 1300's would only spray if you go over 3k rpms with enough throttle, which you WILL NOT DO. You should be fine just take it slow and flip everyone off that honks at you.
