Safc

I was wondering if anyone has successfully used an apex Safc with a 3rd gen. My current mods are intake, dp, mp, cb, non sequential turbos, pettit ecu, profec b. The car runs very well putting down 299.5hp at 12lbs, but I was wondering if I could add a Safc to adjust the fuel a little to get it perfectly tuned. I've heard that using it with the stock ecu will cause it to hit fuel cut at higher than stock boost levels, but since I have the pettit ecu this shouldnt be a problem, correct? I know the best thing to do would be to get a power fc or something similar, but for $200 for a used Safc fits into my budget a lot better. Is there any reason that the Safc doesnt work with the 3rd gen, such as the oil injection at certian loads, or the 2 injector stages? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Personnaly I use a SuperAFC on my FD and it works great for me, it's really easy to adjust my A/F ratio relibly which I have done on a Dyno (no seat of my pants dyno tuning here!). If you are willing to sacarifice your pettit ecu, it might be easier/better/cheaper to get a PowerFC but if you can get a SuperAFC for cheap (i have seen them going for $150 used), I would so go for it.

Good luck

I used it in my TII and it worked great! I've also seen them used in FD's and they work great! It's more of a band-aid until you can get a stand-alone, but it's one hell of a band-aid

its also a great data logger so that you can quickly find out how much you reved to and what your max boost and other stuff like that is.
