What is the lifespan of the pinion and 4.44 ring? /rx8 4.44 ring

Is 120 k miles an issue?

I don't see any reason why the lifespan would be any different from the stock FD ring and pinion. They've proven to be very reliable, only problems have been high horsepower drag launches on slicks, but that breaks most everything .

If the R&P is installed and properly set up, it should last damn near forever.

Any reason as to why you are concerned?

Its really comes down to properly setting up the diff. This means a full rebuild with all new seals, bearings, and setting proper backlash. The 4.44 should be just as strong as the stock 4.10.
