Aahh, the thread is back from the dead! Haha.

As Zyon13B said, I did get them out of hiding recently and have been looking and doing some serious thinking on just how everything is going to work. I've come up with some ideas on how to simplify everything and make everything work together so much easier. If all goes according to plan, it shouldn't take long at all to get a running kit going, I just have to find some time to do it here soon. I've also talked to a fiberglass person about these, and he seems very interested in working with us to get a nice front cover and such (and he does some AMAZING work), so it's looking promising once again.

For those just coming into this thread and have read all 12 pages to get to this point, I admire your determination (and unbelievable boredom), and apologize for this taking so long that the thread got to 12 pages. That last part goes for anyone else that has been patiently (or not so patiently) waiting on these to get finished.

Ryan, I'm glad to see that you are back on the project. I thought for a minute that I was gonna have to shell out the $850 for the Knightsports kit. Keep us all posted. Laterz.

Ryan,

Love the look of the kit and would be interested in purchasing once they are available (read the first few pages and skipped to the end!).

So does anyone know if there is a website with the specs of the "Hella 90mm" lights on it?

And will we be able to buy just the hardware and mounting brackets, and purchase the lamps seperately?

Cheers,
Interested from afar!

68136 and 68137 are regular head lights. I think about $70 each form summit.

The one that says Xenon is an HID. They only list a low beam Xenon module but if you get into there catalog they do have a high beam module too. The HIDs are crazy expensive. From summit the low beam "kit" (which includes ONE light and ONE ballast and all the stuff that coems with it) is over $400. So to do HID LOW beams your looking at $800-900 for both sides. Unless someone can find them for cheaper; if os let me know.

If this kit ever becomes available, I would take the metalwork for sure! I can source bulbs elsewhere.

I read the whole thread yesterday, and saw that these lights could be close.. And that they would be in a new thread.. Does that thread exist, or are the lights still in limbo?

I was considering the Knightsport kit, but my buddy in Japan reckons they are for looks only. Can't drive at night with them because they are fog lights = 20m range.

I dont think that that is true about the 20m range. A buddy of mine has/had the kit and when you rode with them, they seemed to project very nicely into the distance.
