You know, when you look at it, it's really not as bad as you think it is. Mainly because all they replaced was the rear hatch. The owner could always just put his original hatch back on and you would never know it had been a wagon. This doesn't look like a irreversible conversion.

I have seen conversions in Option2 magazine where they convert a R32 or R33 Skyline into a wagon (and I'm not talking about the Nissan Stagea) or a truck with a flatbed. Those conversions are not reversible because they actually weld on sheetmetal and stuff.

I don't see why people have such a problem with the RX-7 limo. It was created from two heavily damaged RX-7's that were in no way road or track worthy.
