rx7 store resonated midpipe

Previously I installed a midpipe on my car when i was sequentail. I have Pettit's dual tip, cat back exhaust and the car was nice and quiet, but still sounded great. Now i have gone full non-sequential and the car is considerably louder. What do you guys reccommend.?? I like to hear the car when I get on it, but around town i would prefer a nice quiet ride.. Also don't want so sacrifice any performance........ if that is possible.. Just asking.. Thanks

just remember, the worse they sound, usually the faster they are

i can't imagine your car being all that bad with a Pettit dual tip, that is a pretty quiet exhaust. the resonated midpipe IMO didn't really do all that much, it made it quieter inside the car on the highway, no more of that annoying drone, but it was still pretty loud.

unfortunately rotaries are notorious for being loud and obnoxious especially when you open the exhaust, and going non-sequential makes it even worse, you really dont have too much choice on making it quieter without sacrificing a little power.

Thanks,
Im just looking for a little less what i have now.. It's just too much consistent loudness. Do you think that the resonated midpipe stole any of your power??

I have the rx7 store midpipe. About as loud as my high flow cat was. I've never heard a straight pipe (midpipe) for comparison. The muffler is a straight through design so shouldn't lose that much HP. I have heard that midpipe versus cat gains HP but loses torque. Since you already have a midpipe then I would just get a quality muffler and have it welded in. Make sure it will fit, and make sure it will withstand the high heat of a turbo rotary. I have heard the borla xr-1s are awesome, but they are a little pricey.

My brother purchased the resonated midpipe (muffler) from Jason (RX-7 store)...buy one. They are the best sounding midpipe in mo..it is deeper than his hiflow cat and not "tinny" or loud. You can't beat it...
