I say muffled, since it has a muffler, not really a resonator. I like driving my car again. Quieter than my high flow cat. Better throttle response, less turbo lag, the car just feels quick again-almost scary. Definately didn't expect this big of an improvement. Only drawback is...I'm having a hard time seeing the screen as my eyes are watering from the fumes. Time to get tuned! How can you tell if the cat is bad? Mine doesn't rattle or anything and has very few miles on it, like about 5K.

 

Can anyone compare the noise levels of this RX7Store muffled midpipe w/ a Pettit resonated pipe?

 

I think the noise levels will be about the same.

 

Pettit is one loud motha! I am wandering what my car would sound like without a resonater. It's already loud as anything. People can hear me leaving for about 2 miles!
