rx7 store aluminum intake pipe fit?

Hi all,

just decided to replace the piping to my stock airbox, so I ordered the 2 aluminum pipe kit from the rx 7 store.net. It claims to fit stock and after market piping, but my lower hose doesnt seem to fit. is it the intention of the second aluminum pipe to go to the lower inlet on the stock airbox, or does this second pipe replace the pipe coming off the upper y pipe extension? the reason I ask is it seems to fit the ypipe location perfectly, but it also seems to be the one they have pictured on the add for the intake kit for the stock airbox? anybody have this and have an answer? if i want it ro fit the lower hose replacement location it looks like i might have to make a 45 degree angle cut on it, which if this is normal, i could have had some aluminum tubing cut and bent to fit much better than the kit - so why bother? or am i just silly and this pipe is for the y-pipe location?

No, it is supposed to be for the lower intake pipe (primary turbo). It just plain is a complete bitch to fit and usually requires "modification".

yep. same positioning as the ebay hard pipes. i don't understand why all the vendors insist on stating that those things fit the stock air box. i tried "modifying" mine to no avail.
