Great color, just get rid of the wing

color is not exactly my taste but it looks okay, feed type2 front bumper is nice.
just get rid of the honda wing.

 

Fortunately yours is way more metallic saffron than this guy's gonzo orange. Hence, it looks right and TysonOrange's doesn't.

 

ewww not near as bad but still! we needa get both u guys to lose those things...maybe we can glue yours on top of his and market it as a new honda performance part!

 

The paint IS flawless and looks really beautiful as far as gloss goes. The color...might take a bit to get used to but I have seen much, MUCH more...controversial...colors/paint schemes on most show cars that make the circuits.

I really can't get into the hood at all, and I am one of those 'wingless' guys that prefer the FD that way.

Having said this, the main issue (like many others have already said) is not what WE like, but if you like it. You spent probably half-again what the car is actually worth on the body kit and paint, right? You wouldn't have done that if you didn't WANT it that way.
Look, when I repaint my car (hopefully next year sometime, or later this year) I intend to go with a DuPont CHROMALLUSION or House of Kolors Kameleon paint like what RX7JOCK has, the constantly changing all color/no color prism effect stuff. Definitely not for everyone, but I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYONE ELSE THINKS!
And neither should you, or at least it shouldn't be a factor in how YOU do YOUR car.

This car will be a show car, we already have a 'show winning' MX5 Turbo that is used everyday along with our MGZT190+. The RX7 is our little hobby and once finsihed will be taken to all the UK Modifying shows this year (can't wait) along with the MX5 (Miata).

It's a shame we won't meet you guys face to face, pretty lucky really

It seems that you guys get really worked up over this modifying stuff, you guys need to chill out

Anyway we have had a great reception in the UK.

But what happened to the 'Fast and the Furious' fans over there - wasn't that an American film

Yeah . . . . i've noticed the U.K. "tuning scene" has this thing with chrome and ugly *** wings. Pic up any copy of "Max Power" and you'll see it . . . . however, just like here in the U.S. there are ricers and true car enthusists. Hopefully, our friend will see the light soon

 

Ok, first off, this car looks like something that would come out of the Pimp My Ride show on MTV. Ok color, but the wing? The hood? Not very tasteful. Extreme? Sure.. I guess you could call it that.

And about your post.. are you saying you would inflict bodily harm/attack these forum people because your car looks stupid? I wonder how your customers would react if they knew that you would attack people that didn't like your car. And then you insult America as a whole because the movie "Fast and the Furious" was made here?

Fun thread. Good luck on your tour. It's nice to realize that people can still get up the nerve to customize, show, argue for the preservation of: a 13 year old car. Short of an XKE or Porsche Turbo, it's evidence that we are all driving around in a classic to be.

 

The color is not that bad. It's the funky bodywork. If the bodywork were more subtle, the color would just be crazy - but crazy in a good way. Atleast it's not lime green.

You said it all right there my friend. I (and others) tried to give the car a true evaluation, as that seemed to be what he really wanted. Now granted some of the responses were pretty brutal, but that is what you get when you ask like that in a public forum. However, it seems that when everyone wasn't ooohing and ahhhhhing that this car wasn't some sort of end-all, be-all FD, the chap gets his panties all in a wad and resorts to immature attacks!

Anyone that has spent any time on the show-car circuit has seen FDs that are much more extreme than that. They have a LONG way to go to make that car a contender, unless the U.K. circuit is lame. If the car is NOT going to be shown and just be a normal car, simply painting the hood all one color and losing that hideous rear wing would make it pretty kick-***.

 

This car looks, as someone said before like a'pimp my ride' project hell, put some hydrolicks on it, and some 13x12 gold spokes and you could put this ride in Lowrider magizine lol!! I'm just waiting for the update where we are shown the new xbox 360 installed in the back....and maybe a popcorn machine in the dash, wall to wall velour would be nice too.....

Yeah I sound a little harsh, but seriously, those are my true impressions.

And just because its on the show circuit doesnt mean crap, I've see alot of distastefull rides at car shows,this wont be the last, but one question.......

Why would you ruin a car whose design harkens back to the beautifull GT cars of the late fifties to early sixties (Ferrari GTO, Jag, shelby daytona etc), by turning it into its current Orange lowrider-meets-battlestar-galactica form?

Hope your happy with it, but to most of us, its just one more ruined rx7, that will never have the chance again to show its true beauty and refinement, so as you said to so many others here while you abused our eyes with this sacrilige.......
