Rx7 Operating Room Pic

A one car garage stuffed to the max. I have to push the car out to bring in the mail. Just waiting for the engine to come.

Wow. And people keep trying to tell me that my garage is small...

This is the back half, it's two cars deep and somewhat L-shaped...

I'd love to have Jim's garage. It looks like it would be very warm and cozy down there during "gotta fix this before Monday" sessions.

Wasn't your car painted a very funky purple/montego blue multi-color and not straight blue?

JSJ,

Just chuck the mattresses and other crap you don't need - it'll pay for itself in removing the frustration of working on the car.

The door jambs, hatch, hood, and engine bay were painted DuPont Absolute Purpleen, back when that was the "in" thing (late 1997, early 1998). After awhile, I got sick of it and decided that instead of finishing the car in the color (since there were several already in various shades of the stuff) that I'd just paint it a nice blue. '02+ Corvette Electron Blue Metallic is what I ended up with.

He can't. It looks like one of the mattresses is serving double duty as a grinder bench...

Judging by the amount of protective items used for those mattresses it would appear that another individual (perhaps resembling the female gender) is preventing those mattresses from leaving the premises. Is the car aware of the kind of "work" done on those mattresses JSJ? .

In the city I live in this is what you get for 400K. The mattress is for my mother in law.

For your mother in law! Hah told you Jim! Wife rules "mattress stays!"

JSJ, Irvine man.. I cannot even begin to describe the upper classist homogeny going on in that city. Then again I was born and raised in Huntington so I'm pretty familiar with Irvine. Needless to say I took a drive down Laguna Canyon road just to get a certain brand of cigarettes when I was last down there - as Irvine has NO liquor stores (no joke).

JSJ: No offense on the 's right?
And I didn't know you could buy anything for less than $.5Mil there. $400k is just for the garage, right?

That first pic looks like only the front half of the 7, kinda weird. Maybe it's just me, great color...good job on it too. I saw the painting process pics in another thread, that's amazing!

I'm afraid to post an image of mine! The neighbor's cat was stuck in there for a week, and I didn't find out until it ran out. Nothing like being punched out by the aroma of cat urine.

Jim, I'd say you have a little L-shaped paradise if you ask me. What's up with the fire sprinkler? I thought only rotories had engine fires.

New townhouses are required to have sprinkler systems and self-closing fire doors in garages.

What to hell are you complaining about? I'm having to build a whole new three car garage before I can start work on mine. At least the wife lets you park the Forester in the driveway.
