your right about that. I just got an FD also and it's great. But already I have to think about investing in new turbos for they are going out. And the primary has possibly already GONE! O well, I still love the car and it's been my dream car ever since my dad got a first gen. Once the thirds came out I was like....OMG! I had to have one and now look. I worked my *** off and I'm 18 with the tightest car in the world..lol. I think it is, cause I have love for the rotary!

Any turbo charged car is a pain in the butt, especially if they are older. Turbos fail and need to be replaced/rebuilt, that's just a fact.

They fail on 300zx's, 3000 GT's and other cars as well, so you won't be saving yourself too much maintenance by getting a different turbo car. If you want reliability, stay away from turbos and just get a decent powered N/A car.

if you have a decent amount of money a tt mk4 supra will be the best bet.Much more reliable and the engine lasts a whole lot longer.Just some decent advice. If you have the money though why not pick up an evo or wrx sti ?
The things that I do love about the car is its exotic styling and the real comfy and nice interior.Just wish it had a small back seat.Other than that its a nice car with more than its fair share of gremlins. After all it is a ford in one way or another. It must have the ford curse on it.lol.
Be prepared to spend about 2 to 3 grand just getting the car up to par. After that save up for a new engine new turbos or turbo and of course aftermarket goodies.
For most people including myself this car eats money like its nothing.

No offense, but WHY IN ****'S SAKE DID YOU REVIVE A THREAD THAT'S BEEN DEAD FOR ALMOST TWO YEARS??!?

CamaroKid hasn't posted anything since and JoeD and JRK have long since been banned from this forum. What possible purpose did reviving this thread serve?!?!!?

Bad newbie, no Scooby snack.
