Rx7

hey guys

I know Im a new guy and I just wanted to say whats up
I dont actually own an RX7 however I am here to learn about these cars as much as possible
so I will start off with a small story and a question

I got a kid near me with the newer generation RX7, I think his is a 95 or so
anyway I wanted to setup a race with him cause I always hear about him and his car and we both have a friend thats a middle man between us thats trying to bring us together to race

what kind of numbers is the RX7 putting out stock and I have a list of his mods I was wondering what to expect after the mods he has
I heard the car can go low 13s stock?

his mods are
intake, exhaust, chip, short throw shifter he said he is a low 12 high 11 car, that seems very fast to me for such a little amount of mods, but who knows you guys are more the experts here, any idea of what HP levels he has and what 1/4 mile times he would have realistically?

thanks guys

Carl

with intake, exhaust and chip (short throw shifter does nothing 4 power put lowers ET) i would saw, depending on brands, he had approximatly 265 or so horses. But, only 238 or so are making it to the rear wheels. I say, depending on how good of a driver he is, he could do the 1/4 mile in about the very high 13's. No way can he do it in the magic 11's with those few mods.

Even if you mean full exhaust with downpipe, midpipe, and cat-back as well as higher boost, this claim is bogus.

I think your estimate is a bit low. Intake, exhaust (even just cat-back) and reprogram ECU should give more than 10HP over stock. He should also do better than high 13's. But you're right, no way 11s.
