rx-8 rear end gear in A/T??

Does anyone know if the stock rx-8 4.44 ring and pinion work for automatic 7's?? I've heard people on here say it will work for the manuals, but is there any difference?? Thanks.

I am sure he does, the biggest draw back from the auto is the get up and go, 4.44 will help on this. Now If the 4.44 work on a 5 speed, the ring and pinion should work on the auto, there are a lot of people who swap the 4.1 from the 5 speed to the auto on the same casing. I just dont know if the 4.44 ring from the rx8 will work on the rx7 casing. Hope this helps

thanks, I went to the Rx-8 forums and they said that their ring and pinion WILL WORK for the FD. Sounds like it will be a good upgrade since the Rx-8 guys are looking for higher gearing to save gas mileage.
