I'm so lucky to have a Honda. Thinking about selling it for a 91 vert. Then I'll have to stay home when it snows.

I drove my fd through two winters in a row with out any problems. Sure snow can be a PIA but if you have decent driving abilities and can keep a level head then you should be fine. Also why is everyone making such a big deal about the car in the snow, I love driving my dd miata in the snow and its got every disadvantage as the 7 (except power

). It really is the easiest car I've ever driven in the snow!

an FD has to be the worst car for driving in snow and ice ever invented...pure insanity...buy a $500 beater if you live in the rust belt, or move south

Snow - no problem. Just get some heavy duty titanium tire chains for the rear tires and strap them on. It ain't no big deal about them hitting the fender wells, hell it'll go good. Throw about a dozen 8" foundation blocks in the rear. Make sure you are in no deeper than 15" of snow and ice before you go to boost ! That manual steering mod never felt soooo good.

I know what your talking about. A few weeks ago I drove my FD to a friends shop, sunny and clear out. I left to go home and 2 inches of snow were on the roads in 6 min or so. No salt but I felt like I was trying to drive in D1 or something(going 10mph or so). The FD is by far the worst vehicle you could think of driving in the snow. I put my FD away for the winter the next day, swapping the same wheels and tires from the FD to my s14. The s14 has coilovers like my FD but is like night and day in the snow. I said all of this to say it's not IF you will wreck your FD, but when.
