RX-7, touring or not.

I've recently been looking at a new car, preferably an RX-7, because I LOVE the way they look(rivals supra). I was wondering if I should get the touring edition, or just the base. I've heard that the touring is slower, and I want my car to be pretty fast. So would the touring be best, or just base for me?

All have the same horsepower, touring just weighs a little more, because of the bose acoustic wave, the sunroof, etc. If you search you can get the details of the differences between trim packages.
