I was talking with one of my corvette owner buddies last night, about cars. I mentioned that the 7 is one of the few cars that pulled 1.0 G's on the slalom. He didn't believe me, and said that only like 2 cars have been able to do this. I mentioned that my source was a nice thread here a while back, when we were talking about the handling of the 7 compared to modern cars, even though the technology is over 15 years old. It was mentioned in there, which is cool, but not the most reliable source of info if you own a vette. Does anybody have a link, or copy of one of the old road tests that I can send to him? I searched through all the pinned stuff, and think that they should be linked in the FAQ's if you ask me.

I just found the old thread, and it was actually the skid pad (makes al ittle more sense), but there were some in there claiming to have read around 1 g in the slalom, but no link.

It was done with an R1 (on skinny *** 225 width tires), in motor trend IIRC.

Amazing, reason I love my 7.. Drops gears and throw it in whatever comes your way. And if doesnt hurt that you have a turbo to pull you hard on the way out!.. : )
