RX-7 Project

Hello! I'm new here and was was recommended to post my build of my 1993 FD3S RX-7, I've posted my plans and stuff in my intro if anybody is interested: https://www.rx7club.com/introduce-yo...tions-1144849/ But ill post them again for good measure:
So far what I've managed to replace:
Koyorad Radiator
Rear Hatch Supports
Fluids (Obviously)
Passenger headlight cover (flew off on the freeway coming back home from picking it up)

What i plan to upgrade and what is currently being shipped:
Apexi Power FC ECU (On the list)
Auto Harness for ECU (On the list)
HKS Down pipe eliminates the CAT (On the way)
HKS Silent Hi-Power Cat back (On the way)
Under Tray for engine (On the way)
Door handles (On the list)
Radio Antenna (On the list)
Corbeau RRS Seats (On the list)
750CC Primary Injectors (On the way)
1000CC Secondary Injectors (On the way)
Import Direct Fuel Pump 33 GPH (On the list)
WIX Fuel Filter (On the list)
Bosche 02 Sensor (On the way)

As I've stated previously on my intro my goal is to make around 350-400 WHP Not sure if its even possible with the list i have (Assume everything not on the list is stock) but if you guys have any suggestions on things i might swap out for better quality parts LMK, Also looking for black interior door panels/weather stripping since my doors have essentially disintegrated, I've looked around but it seems only carbon doors are sold or RHD door panels.

Anyway Here's my build post and will update once i do something....or ill just post more pics :P And before anybody says anything yes they were taken in a kohls parking lot lol

Thanks for letting me entertain ya with my post!

350 on the twins is not that hard, but you are getting to the upper limit of the turbos ability. Read this thread for how a professional got there: https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...added-1104322/

I assume you are not a professional... no offense. In that case work on getting the car working perfectly at stockish boost levels first.

You will also need instrumentation and logging IMO or your car will be a ticking time bomb. You really shouldn't just throw a PFC on there and hope it works... even for a stock car. They are intended to be tuned, not as a plug and play ECU replacement. And you definitely can't just throw a PFC on there and make 350 whp.

Put a big intercooler (stock mount, u-type, v-mount) and good intake on that list. Put a wideband O2 on that list. Put a datalogit and loggable fuel pressure sensor on that list. Put FC Tweak software on that list. Otherwise your only warning when something goes wrong will be low compression and you'll be flying blind.

Join the google tuning group and read the FD tuning guides.

If this all sounds paranoid consider that you are talking about nearly doubling the power output of a high strung sports car that is now an antique.

This is all stuff I wish I had been told sooner. Beautiful car and nice looking wheels BTW. 5-spokes are great looking on FDs IMO.

yeah, they came on the car when i bought it from a toyota dealer down in oregon (somebody probably will recognize it) i feel kinda bad i curbed the wheels when looking at my phone while turning right (WHY YOU DONT LOOK AT YOUR PHONE AND DRIVE!) but yeah they are kinda growing on me, My dad (hes a big v8 guy) says the car looks like a c5 vette and we always joke about getting a red c5 to see who thinks the 7 is a modified vette, as for what you said, i do plan to put pods and stuff when i go for 350-400 but i was hoping i could atleast get 300 out of it with abit of fine tuning and letting the engine breathe abit. (Eventually im probably gonna say **** it and make it like 600hp but until then i wanted to make a mild street build and also to beat my friend, has a 310hp 280zx and he ALWAYS talks **** about this car and my rsx i had before.
