Hello all. Im new to this forum and i just got a black RX-7 about two weeks ago. I've been a rotary fan for awhile and i was just wondering around what age most rx7 owners are.

I'm 17 and i currently own a Black/Black 95 RX-7

I just dont understand, how does a 17 year old afford an FD??????? Im pushing thirty in a couple years and, ahhhhh never mind. I see 17 year olds driving cars all the time and all they do is beat the **** out of moms cavalier. I hate to see how you show off in a FD

lol..i worked hard to earn this FD..ive been saving up for like 10 years and i decided to save it for a car when i was 15. I also had to keep my grades at atleast a 4.0..But im guessing im prolly one of the few owners here that have to worry about grades and school.

Easy - lives at home, and pays few, if any bills. If they work, it's *all* disposable income. The car's probably in their parent's name and under their insurance.

Turn 25 in august bought my project FD in 2001 on 9/11 heh... I won't be parting with my girl no time soooooooon.. Drove her for the first time on the highway on July 20th 2004. Years went by and it was well worth the wait and time working on my FD. Still have alot of work ahead of me and its just starting to come together now.

what the hell?! This is an old thread go post in the original age thread, don't make a new one......bah I guess it doesn't matter. I'm 20 and got mine when I was 18. Paid by me working full time as hard as I could working 12 hour days. So I never had any time to do something stupid in my car. Mine's been taken care of until the accient. But after that its better than ever now! Wow that sounds bad...........

im sick of the "I'm 17, i've been saving since i was 5 to buy my FD. I work 5 jobs and i am starting my own investment firm in a year" type story. If your parents bought your car show it off! Having great parents is no shame now! I'll be leeching of mommy and daddy till im 30yeras old.

hey hey,

i bought my own and im 18, 75 hours a week for a year and a half, at 7.25/hr for a nightjob scoopin icecream partime, and 12.50/hr doing word processing full time i pulled it off considering when i bought it with 120,000 k miles on it/bone stock and black.. sure i didnt have much fun due to no time off, but it was fun and worth it to drive my car to work.

I did all these after market goodies myself too. now i am rebuilding the motor.
