HI The RX-7 Lives! Yummy idle goodness!

Hi all,

Got all my pieces from some fellow RX-7 members, here (Japan2LA & Carlos), as well as a new coolant reservoir from Mazdatrix, fixed the break in my harness for the temperature sending unit, re-did my PowerFC connections and started my car up after 2 years of sitting idle due to mismanaged time and no money.

The idle was crap...constant searching from 800rpms all the way up to 1500, with also a stuck throttle and serious bucking issues. I did everything I could think of, including checking for vacuum leaks, TPS voltage, IAC check. I simply didn't know enough about the situation to understand what I was looking for and how to trouble-shoot it.

I took it over to my friend Sean @ Munky Wurks Garage in Oahu, Hawaii...there's no rotary tuners here on the island, but Sean and his brother-in-law know their shiat. He was able to diagnose a few issues with my hoses and ended up going through everything step by step and found the problem quickly, which was the secondary throttle control screw. He adjusted it, and then bam...smooth, steady idle.

Such a quick, easy fix...but one I simply didn't grasp right off the bat. I'm so freakin' happy to be able to drive my car again. I forgot how amazing the RX7 is. I pumped up the sounds, and drove home in a state of extreme bliss. Next week is a safe, reliable tune, and then it's on like Donkey Kong with prettying her up and making her look how she should!

Thanks Sean!
