RX-7 with a Honda eng. WTF???

What can you expect from a mature site like Club4AG though?

http://forums.club4ag.com/topic.asp...page=1&ARCHIVE=

Sure it's not a FD but I thought my rotory brothers could lend me a shoulder to cry on. Poor little Series 4 with an S2000 F20C engine in it.

Sure it took some time and skill to perform the swap, but why why why!!! No matter how much you polish a turd it's still a turd.

Your right, its not an FD so why is it in this section?! Search around and you'll see that this has been posted many times. Also, theres no reason to post this in 2 diffrent sections.

LOL, i had mentioned using the S2k engine in my FD a while back... believe it or not the S2k itself weighs less than a FD and im sure a FD with a S2k engine weighs even less.

Why? How about because it makes more hp then the rotary engine that was in it before. Not to mention it's reliable horsepower. I'm sure this will stimulate some sort of reply along the lines of... "It's not an Rx-7 if it doesn't have a rotary engine"

BTW this was posted by the owner in the other engine swaps forum.

I see nothing wrong with that swap. If the engine was a B16 or something like that, I would agree it was retarded. Swapping piston engines into RX-7s isnt something to cry about. People totalling their RX-7s is a more serious problem.

Excuse me for not being on top of the latest repost info list. I actually have a life away from the internet.

Does anyone who even owns a RX7 or actually has passion for the rotary post on here anymore? I guess not.

Yeah, I'm sure it has plenty more power than a S4 NA engine but doesn't mean I like it. SR20DET would have been a much better choice for many reasons. F20C are too expensive right now anyways. Just seems like another trend IMO.

if the engines didnt suck soo much and cost soo much maybe people would like them more... Unfortunatly, thats not the case.

Personally I love the rotary engine and plan on keeping it in my car! Although I do like the v8 swaps and what not. I think swapping in a Honda motor, or supra motor is stupid but thats just my opinion. Anywho, no reason to turn this into some debate about rotarys vs. pistons! Everyone has their personal taste, so just leave it at that!

Hmm.. RELIABILITY = STUPID?

Man, I went to the wrong school. You "rotary love" guys crack me up.. It's NOT exactly the greatest motor you know. Sometimes it's better to just go with what works.. Not with what's different.

Like the guys "fixing up" Saturns.. I love hearing "but you never see a Saturn hooked up!"

THERE'S A REASON FOR THAT...
