Dont like your car sorry.. Not a fan of any Audi's other than the TT But as for all your FD questions, I've seen about 10 threads on each one in the time I've been on here.. and thats not long.. So searching would probably give you the best results

That's a sweet S4
I don't like the new one's at all.

I'm sending your thread to the 3rd gen section. You will get more replies there, but if you do a search in the 3rd gen section for reliable or reliability, you will get tons of topics.

I own an FD -modded, and a 2001 S4 - stock except for X chip, and it's a great combination. They are very different cars but compliment each other well. Unless you have more mechanical aptitude than most of those over on AudiWorld, I'd think hard before buying it, and think really hard before modding it. I've put one motor and one tranny in mine.

I own a couple of FD's and have driven a S4, seems like the audi does not really pull that hard compared to a FD (both are bone stock although the FDs have about 70k miles on them and the audi had about 10k miles on it)How modified is your S4? Have you driven the FD in mind yet? You should be able to instantly know if there is a problem with the car or not (I have test driven about 15-20 FD's and after a while, you can pretty much tell right off the bat if there is anything wrong). Make sure to not settle on the first one and to test drive a lot of them to compare.

as for your questions
what are the major problems that I would be running in to in the next few years?
A lot if you don't take care of it religiously, and even then you will probally have problems with it. on another note, i think its well worth it!

What's reliable in this car and what are not.
hehe nothing is reliable, its a sports car (designed for one thing, racing) and if you arent breaking ****, your not racing it or using it to its full poential.

how much have you guys all spend in parts?
too damn much, relibility mods cost over 2k and even then, its not relible!

What should I check b4 Buying it?
Same thing as on any other car plus the boost pattern, compression test (for both the engine and coolant system)

this car haven't been beat on, everything works, how much is a good price for it?
this really depends on where you live and the avalibility for it. I would suggest anywhere between 15-20k
