Rx-7 93" Turbo Auto failed to start
Hi guys, just bought my RX-7 two days ago. And when i finally got home today and turn the keys, the babe is not doing well:
(1) Ignition only, no start
(2) The "HEAT" icon is on, bright red
(3) I kinda of went over a speed bump too quickly and heard some noise yesterday.
I think its the radiator / water tank leakage, as i've tried to add about 2 litre of water in it, guess most of them come to the ground.
So my question is, will empty water stop the car from starting and will it be very expensive to fix it?
Sorry this is my first car (sounds really stupid right, and i spend as much on insurance as on the car) so please help.
Thanks guys!!!

low coolant shouldent stop the car from starting , although you should see a red light and hear a really annoying coolant buzzer going off if the coolant is low or the system not pressurised..(does on my jdm 96 anyway!)
it is a VERY bad idea to drive an rx7 with low coolant or if its leaking, overheating a rotary engine is very bad and often destorys them. it can damage seals and warp housings.
as far as will it be expensive to fix goes that depends on whats wrong with it! a coolant leak could be anything from a small rubber pipe thats come loose to a broken radiator or seal..expense will also depend if you did any damage to your engine driving it with your coolant leak.
Did you dirve it with the coolant leak? if so how far? did the engine get hot while driving? you should really figure out exactly where this leak is coming from! 2 litres is alot to loose in a short space of time!

What happened is i normally warmed by car up for 5 minutes before driving away, so the coolant meter will look normal (30%). Fortunately I didn't go far, just about 3 minutes test drive around the garage before I parked it.
I got a repair guy coming over this morning, and he said tat the 1 of the 2 radiator cap / string (wot da heck is tha) is gone, probably because of the pressure caused by the heat... I don't know, will any garage be able to fix RX-7 or should i select one carefully ? I think they will have to take my car back for a full check...
