rusty wheel hub

my wheel hubs are rusty. is this common or should i be concern that the rest of my car is rusting as well (haven't seen any rust but maybe i haven't looked hard enough). and how can i get rid of the rust. thanks.

well, if it cant be fixed with a dremel or duct tape it cant be fixed. get a dremel and a polishing wheel. it will come out nice. if you find parts that are just too ugly to look at send them to TTT

Aluminum doesn't rust. Polished steel will rust. The wheel bearing carriers on FDs are aluminum, these might typically be called hubs.

When you say wheel hub I'm thinking your actually talking about the center of the brake rotor? If so then that rust is no big deal, just ugly.

I recently bought a 94 parts car that had lived most of it's life in Virginia. The body had zero rust on it but some of the bolts on the bottom of the car looked a little crusty.
