Running to rich and back fires

Hi my 3rd gen seems to be running to rich and occasionally backfires. I was just wondering if a tune up would fix both of these probelms. If not then what would i need to do

Most RX-7's will experience some backfires with the stock ECU and no pre-cat (even more so if the main cat has been eliminated). However, you can lessen it by some routine maintenance:

1. Change spark plugs
2. Change/check plug wires
3. Change O2 sensor
4. Change/check fuel filter
