Has anyone been running without an intercooler since they installed water injection. With my current system and the temp sensor relocated to after the IC I am usually seeing AITs of ambient +0- +5 deg c @ 15psi. FWIW shooting approx 10% of INJ duty on two 400cc INJs.

 

Yes, there has been significant discussion of this in the aux injection section. I suggest you inject pre-turbo (at least, partially) if you are getting rid of the intercooler. It improves the efficiency of the compressor... there is anecdotal/car forum support and also published engineering papers about it.

Brian Cain of BDC Motorsports has been doing it for a long time on his 2nd gen.

 

I would be worried on the effect this would have on the sensor where would you locate it? Also, the effect this would have on my INJ vs AIT table.
