Rubber Fuel Lines with AN Fittings?

I would like to use some 5/16th high pressure fuel line (non SS braided) to connect up with the AN fittings for my fuel kit. Will the rubber hose thread/seal into the AN fittings, or should I stick to the braided hose? I tested it briefly and it seemed like it would be ok.

Thank you in advance,

Hoping to finish the system tonight, I searched last night, but with no luck. Does anybody have any experience with this?

I've seen other material hoses beyond just braided steel used with AN fitting.

High pressure hose = other materials...

Therefore:

Pictures will be provided later tonight with the success or failure of the setup!!!
