here perfect example. https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=135614

this guy feels the need to post this in the 3rd gen section. by the time you read it, it will have been moved to the regional section.
should it have stayed here? does it "SUCK" that i moved it? should it have stayed because it does "involve" a battery for his FD?

Ok I got 2 mods to post back, Great! Mahjiik said it could have been an error on one of the mods cause of all the mass sweeping cleaning of alll the junk on the forum, which I am all for. However, I just don't understand how or why mine got placed in the Vendor/Group buy section? I know this section is mainly moded by Rxrotary2 7, and a few others, and I dont really care who moved it, but if one of you guys moved it, why did it go to that section?

Don't follow the leader: create your own market by designing a center mounted exhaust. Either that or twin pipes so I can run a nice looking diffuser.
If you have done any reseach on the FD or read my post you would have learned that the strighter the piping on the exhaust the better it is for your car, since it keeps the exhaust flow more linear and less restrictive. Plus if you know anything about the FD, you would know that mounting an exhuast in the middle of section of the rear end would require you to move or get rid of your gas tank (which is in the way), bend the piping all around your diff. and not to mention doing your own fabrication mounting just to get it to fit, which would never be a stright bolt on. In other words, it would be a PIA and you probably couldnt afford it. (Did I also mention the excessive weight issue if you do dual exhaust piping on FD?)

But if you come up with something like that and like us, let us know.

like stated it was probobly a mistake.
in the future, please try to take care of this via PM rather than start a thread about *WHY*.
it was most likely a mistake on my part. i will send you a PM with my address and where i work. you can then come and shoot me for making an honest mistake if it was me.

Im not JimLab, so I won't go all postal on you . I didn't know who moved it so I didn't know who to PM, so sorry on turning it into a big deal . It was just that it was probably one of the most informative post I have done in awhile.....or ever , so I just felt I got shafted. No harm, no foul. Thanks for bring it back tho .

I believe this exhaust is now avalible or comming out real soon.... so look into guys . Best exhaust I have ever had, however, if you plan to use the silencer, do not boost more then stock settings. And here is a link to some more information on the exhaust and other RS*R products comming soon:

I didnt actually get a chance to weight both exhaust, which would have been a good idea, however, from just lifting it, the HKS and the RS*R seemed to weight about the same ,, if anything the RS*R was slightly lighter, but not much to my suprise. The HKS has a rather large canister, and not completly TI, so I think that is why it didnt seem much or any lighter then the RS*R unit. Both are definatly lighter then a stock muffler for sure.

As for a sound clip, my Mp3 player that I used to record the exhaust encodes the wav or Mp3 in a wierd format and wouldnt play in winamp or any of the people's players that I sent to, so I dont think I will bother posting it. My exhaust set up is not the same as everyone else as well, so it will very from car to car too. Once the exhaust is offically released, I will try to get RS*R to get some more specs on the exhuast and see if I can get a sound clip as well. If you are in that much of a hurry, however, you can try to contact www.RS-R.com for more info.

I liked RSR's old black-painted dual tip catback for the FD. It was the perfect "sleeper" exhaust. I remember wanting one, but the RSR was backordered @ Racing Beat for months. I finally ended up with a full polished stainless steel RB dual tip. Best damned exhaust for the FD Rx7, IMHO. FWIW I'm not crazy about the large round canister and tip of the new RSR...too much like a "tuner" exhaust IMO. I do like the straight design, with only one bend.

last I spoke with them, they said they are mainly focusing on bringing over the honda stuff for now,and just opened up thier offices, and still working on thier warehouse and facility. I am not positive, however, you can try emailing them on thier website, or talk to Alfred over at www.Turboimport.com to buy one. Its not officially released yet, however, I think a few people actually bought one already or ordered some.
