RPM jumped up as I was Driving
So last week, I was driving home at night normally. I wasn't heavy on the throttle at all, and just as I hit boost at 3k the RPM climbed up rapidly until I let off at almost 5k. The weird thing is the car didn't move any faster when it did that...
Only thing I can think of is a slipping clutch or traction was broken? I don't know why my clutch would be slipping, it feels fine and has low mileage on it.
I also didn't really feel like the car broke any traction when it did that, everything was still straight on or maybe I couldn't tell. One clue is I did happen to drive over a water spot because the sprinkler systems here are retarded
What do you think it could be?

The actual engine's RPM does go up so the tach is fine
How would the rear main seal leak? This is like the first time it's happened, it happened once before but I felt the car actually swing out. Sucks if the clutch is bad already

DEADLY EXHAUST LEAK
this is how you know when you went hardcore on your clutch and yes when the clutch is slipping you can
step on it and ACTUAL rpm will go up the car will just move slow no fast acceleration
old (and i wasnt the one who drove the s#it out of this clutch it was the previous owner)
