Well, I am using Apexi Mineral oil 15W50 A3 but doesn't mention anywhere if it's just for rotaries...it works fine though.

I actually haven't seen anywhere rotary specific oil? Whats the difference from a regular one?

What a waste of money. Those companies don't make their own oil, you know, you are just paying extra for them to relabel and mark-up some other companies oil.

I've yet to hear of a single engine failure related to oil (other than running out of it).

Just buy some Castrol GTX or Mobil One and be done with it.

My motor went because I was using a weight too light for summer heat. It turned into poop inside my motor and caused just enough friction on the seals to make the compression drop. A few miles after that, I drained the pan to pull the motor and it was like I found a new way to make tar.

good ole castrol gtx 20w50 here. works good so far. i don't think any certain oil is going to net you such good gains that would necessitate spending 2-5x as much on it

Hey the tuners in Japan are the "true" experts. It must give more HP because you can call it J-Spec oil ROFLMAO! Amazing that enough people actually buy that stuff in Japan to justify the production cost of the labels and the ads, let alone competing versions of it. That tells you how sophisticated the Japanese aftermarket consumers really are. J-Spec = picking on people that don't know any better. : ( As the other people mentioned above, try to emulate Rick Engman, he is far more reputable than any Japanese tuners in my book and has been for well over a decade. He's an extremely nice guy to boot.

Wasn't poking fun at you don't worry. I just thought the concept of the oil was pretty funny.

rotary oil

Actully what it is, a fully synthtic oil that burns in combustion. IE like 2 cycle synthtic. Normal synthtic burns and turns to ash this Rotary Specific oil is susposidly to just burn away. Does it work, perhaps 2 cycle synthtic does. Is it worth the money. Depends do you like the can! Id buy a can for the bad A$$ rotor on it... i love that stuff
