Rotary Run or Mazdaspeed R-spec Hood: Any Idea on where or IF these can be purchased?

Hi,

As the title states, I really want one of these two hoods. I understand that both products are out of production, but in my experience I've noticed sometimes it's still possible to obtain out-of-production parts.

I'm wondering if anyone has any idea at all of a place where either hood could be purchased or if it's possible to have it shipped from Japan (maybe it can be found there?)?

I'm currently running a Rotary Extreme Carbon Fiber Scoot Hood. The hood itself is in excellent condition and the fitment is top notch. Recently, though, I've just been leaning toward something a little bit more subtle. Just getting SICK of people thinking I'm trying to make my car in to a Viper, especially after this hood.

Please let me know. Thanks.

Riz

The only way would to find a used hood. Contact fdnewbie he might be able to help you out,he got me my garage-s cf hood that should be arriving soon, he usually keeps an eye out on all the japan auctions. BTW rotary run went out of business and you will not find any of their products, although I do have their headlights.

^ Thanks. I'll give Ramy a shot. Hey PureRX7, if you don't mind me asking how much was the hood you ordered and how much was shipping? Oh and also, what type of hood is a garage-s hood? Never heard of it, got any pictures?

Which hood is that, and where did you order it from?

^ I was actually one of thos in talks with Shineautoproject to replicate this hood. The problem was that since it's discontinued it's becoming EXTREMELY difficult to find. Hopefully I'll have some luck with some other avenues.

If anyone has any other suggestions, please keep them coming. Thanks.

Yah their work is pretty good from what I've seen and owned. The problem is that the hood they are selling is not the "Mazdaspeed R-spec hood." That might be another type of Mazdaspeed hood, but definitely NOT the R-spec. The R-spec looks very different from their model and is by far IMO much much NICER than that particular hood. Thanks for trying though.

purerx7, gosh...w/ all your kind words, esp. given how freakin late I am in delivering...I should be giving ya the hood for free Seriously, thanks for the support and your patience. It'll be here very very very soon...

Farhan, I feel you. I'll keep an eye out for both the Rotary Run and MS R-spec hood. But I can tell you know, I hope you have $2000+ EASY to blow. When something that rare pops up for sale, it's an all out bidding WAR. Then you still gotta pay for shipping. So yea, I hope you have deep pockets, b/c in cases like that, the deepest pockets win.

DAMN! That's really expensive. I was willing to pay anywhere from $1500.00-2000.00, but not more than that. Still Ramy, see what you can do. If I don't buy it directly, I wouldn't mind Shineautoproject picking one up and making replica's (I know they're in the market for the Mazdaspeed R-spec hood). I'm not too picky when it comes to exclusivity , besides I'm already going to have the first set of rims produced on my car anyways .

P.S. - If you've already received the Bride seats you bought for your friend please let me know what the cost of shipping was like. I STILL want some Bride seats, but I've decided on different ones than we discussed earlier. Please let me know. Thanks.
