Firelance, There is much more to driving fun than an auto.

If you want to just "mash and steer." Then go for it. I personally think they should have never offered an auto in an RX-7, or a Supra TT, or whatever.

I could care less if they are faster in a straight line, if that is even the case. A good driver in a stick usually has more gears, and should have a faster car, the auto just makes it more consistent launches.

This is sports cars we are talking about, not SUV's, which is where automatics belong.
