Wink rotary guru connector quiz !

Could someone please lend me a look at these connectors, I'm trying to do some basic troubleshooting on this FD and feel that these 3 open connectors may be part of the problem. The descriptions are as follows:

pic 1 = blue and orange connector located between UIM and alternator, 2 prongs, female
pic 2 = black connector between UIM and alternator, 1 prong, female
pic 3 = black and yellow connector near the firewall, 4 prong, female

thanks in advance for your help.

also, is there supposed to be a check valve-looking round fitting between the MAP sensor and upper intake? i've heard this is the most fussy vacuum line on the car and was wondering if that would make a difference.

you're going to have to attach those pics on here because we cannot see them unless we are members of that forum (which I'm not)
so I'll just guess...
the first one sounds like the EGR connector
the second may be the knock sensor or one of the many other single wire, black connectors that run down the right side of the block
the third could be either the double-throttle or AWS, I can't remember because I haven't had them for so long

sorry about that, didn't feel like shrinking down the pics to 100k so i took the lazy route. here they are hosted on cardomain.... would any of these not connected be detrimental to the running of the motor?

The first picture is the EGR switch, only used on California models.

The second picture is the knock sensor disconnect. The sensor is located on the drivers side of the enginenext to the power steering pump.

The third picture WAS a copy of the second. I fixed your link in my quote assuming the sequence of the picture numbers went in order (60, 61 and 62). The connector on picture 62 is the coil pack harness disconnect.

I do believe I aced the connector quiz.

correct,
but the third pic is still the same as the second so I'm not sure about the last one but the coil harness is black with yellow

I cannot edit the other members post but I can edit a quote. I quoted him with the answers and fixed the link to the 3rd picture. It is ONLY fixed in the quote, not the original post.

yeah, sorry about that 3rd pic... and for some reason the forum won't let me edit the post?! i was beginning to think the third had something to do with the double throttle... i can see that there already is something plugged into the coil...

That third connector doesn't connect directly to the ignition coils, it connects to the disconnect of the ignition coil harness. The coil harness is short, maybe 10" long.

You cannot edit a thread after it's been posted more then 10 minutes or so. Admin set that rule in the forum software.

It's a filter, not a check valve. The arrow is there to help prevent re-installing it with the "dirty" side facing the MAP sensor.

Is your car an R1? That connector near your brake booster looks like the one for the cruise control unit.

i read about that filter last night... it seems to be ok. i also checked the MAP voltages at idle and zero vacuum to the FSM specs and that seems to be OK. it's an R1... that would definitely explain that open connector.
