Ronin Speedworks non-responsive ? out of business or what?

Hi All,

I ordered a Bumpsteer correction kit from Ronin Speedworks about 15 days back in their website.
My CC got charged and the order is still in PROCESSING status.
i have called them numerous times, sent them emails but no response.
anyone else in the same boat? Or know about it ?

thanks

Joel Payne is active on NoRotors and the associated FB page, I don't think he's normally on here. Given the current back log it takes me weeks to get OEM parts too let alone custom stuff. Either way he can get you a status.

This is an old thread, but was cruising through here looking for something and saw this.
I just spoke to Joel last week - Ronin is still very much in business, but it's a side-deal for all involved so you're not likely to get an immediate response. As long as that's OK, I still love the engineering and value that goes into everything they do, and am happy to support them!

How does it being a side deal justify not even giving customers placing an order a degree of respect with a simple email reply; oh, the horror :wailingandgnashingofteeths:

just a bunch of lame excuses by people not giving a youknowwhat, period.

I've always found them quite responsive. Typically a response within 24 hours, maybe a little longer over the holiday period.

The entire industry is being affected by labor shortages and supply chain disruptions. Shoot him an email. I wrote to him last week with a question regarding his axle kit and received a response quickly.

Well don’t misunderstand my words. Being in sales and working from home since 2010 I have a straightforward view on this whole covid thing. Working from home is not for everyone for sure, and maybe some people sitting around in their underwear all day with a kind of sleepy, half-caring attitude is perhaps more obvious than they realize. Every business is faced with the current labor situation, even the one I work for. That really has nothing to do with it.

Even I encounter supposed business owners who can’t even get off their duff and respond. I’ve heard pretty much every excuse in the book. That’s not a labor situation, that’s a thankless attitude situation. You might be fat and feeding off the hog today, but tomorrow you might be the complete opposite, but then again maybe the government is going to bail you out rather than going hungry because you didn’t try harder. Simply put, people who don’t care enough to respond to their email or even online orders only demonstrate how unworthy and thankless they are for the blessings they are receiving. It’s really that plain and simple.

“I’m sorry, we’re too busy and unable to accommodate your need”, or “thank you, we’ll follow up with you soon”, is a 10 second email reply. Spare me the lame excuses already. Success or even surviving has a price. Maybe you deserve neither.

I believe this post is about Ronin. Do you have a specific issue? Or just criticizing for fun and contributing to misinforming people about one of the few good rotary businesses with unique products available?

I just had a perfect experience with Ronin, looks like IRP did too. I'll buy from them again.
