Rollbar options for a 6'3"er

Guys,

I am planning to be deep in the 11s when i finish the project, and was seriously considering a roll bar to not get booted from all the local tracks.

However, I worry about a few things-

1. Helmet clearence- I have to sit WAY reclined to fit, and a helmet will barely clear, I have no idea where I would put the bar.

2. Injury while daily driving - I am worried about hitting my head on it while not wearing a helmet in an accident, and being worse off than without.

3. Fitment - I already have the battery located behind the driver seat. Where does the main bars attach? Through the storage bins?

Anyone have one that is tall like me? Hows the fit?

Thanks!

-Jason

PS this is a 93 touring

1. Your best bet is going to be to go to an aftermarket set or see if you can modify the stock seat/rails to drop them to the floor instead of reclining.

2. Most of the bars I've seen aren't close enough to your head in the back to worry about it for daily driving.

3. There are some that do no go through the storage bins.

PM COSborne.
He is a dealer for Kirk Racing Bars I believe. ( At least he can get them for you)

He did a big buy for a bunch of people here a while ago. He has good info on what is required for what and if their( Kirk) bar is legal.

A roll bar shouldnt effect you but a roll cage is what you are worried about while driving without a helmet.
