ok well when the car goes back on the road, it needs new rims.

how did u guys decided on what to go for?

all i know is that i wanna go 18's
either black or silver/chrome
i would like to have some lip on it

but i dont know what would and wouldnt look good

how did i figure it out?

 

I chose a rim according to what i "should" get. Since i live where crappy roads are common, i wanted something nice looking yet not too expensive because it could get stolen or messed up due to the roads.

And i wanted 18s from the gecko. Since my car is red, i wasnt too sure if the black wheel on red would look nice (although after seeing rx7rage's car made me wish i did get black rims ) so i chose silver. Chrome looks a bit weird on a stock body red FD imo.


BTW, why dont you buy my rims?? Look in the wheels/tires section. They are 18s, comes with tires and you are relatively local so you can pickup.

 

how much do you want to spend? nothing looks better than hp evos for 710.00$ check on ebay for them.If you want to spend more $$ your options are unlimited.rpo1,ccw,hres are all good.

 

well i dont have a specific price range yet, but so far im thinking it will be in the 1k-2k range thats for tires and rims (hopefully thats enough)

yeah i was questioning chrome cause i dont want it to be to flashy/gaudy(sp?) looking.

im not to much into spokes

i actually like how smg's rims on his car look cause i also have a red FD and his rims look very nice on the car

 

yeah, the mesh type wheel doesnt look as great on the stock body FD compared to like a good 5 spoke or something IMO. If i had some side skirts i'd prob keep my wheels but i want something along the lines of the RH C5's or some gram light pros.
