Rewire stock coils and/or HKS Twin Power

I know a HKS Twin Power is a recommended mod to improve the stock ignition system but should you also add a relay for a 12v source of power to the coils, kinda like the fuel pump rewire mod? OR is it either HKS or coil rewire (i.e. not both)?

It doesn't work that way unfortunately. Twinpower or step up to the IGN 1A coil setup. I sell a lot of the Sakebomb kits.

Thanks. I asked the question because I have a HKS Twin Power but not installed and I had also read about direct wiring the stock coils. I wasn't sure if it was recommended to direct wire the coils before installing the HKS unit.

I recommend leaving the factory coil wiring alone and use the twinpower rotary harness. If the OEM coil harness is in poor condition replace that with a new oem one as well.
