Red face Review on manifold studs?

Was removing my stock downpipe and the studs were coming quite easily from the manifold.

So wondering if i should stick with the stock studs/nuts but was thinking i should probably upgrade to ARP/atp/use the stock studs/ or go to ace hardware as i read some people did

was wondering if i could get an updated review on the studs/experience/review

also what size would i need ? the 10mm (1.5 pitch) correct?

there is no end all be all studs/nuts for the FD, in fact the stock exhaust fasteners are about as good as you'll find. generally i use anti seize on them when reinstalling the exhaust to keep them from seizing but aftermarket bolts will also seize, break and back out more easily.

100% sure they are 10mm, 99% sure the pitch is 1.5.

Having them come out when uninstalling isn't a problem, when they snap is the problem, so I wouldn't replace if they're simply coming out. Copper nuts are also recommended during reinstall.

As Karack said, the stock parts are about as good as you're going to get.

As for the nuts, I've had good results with copper-clad locking exhaust nuts. Here is a link to the ones sold by Pineapple Racing: http://www.pineappleracing.com/premi...xhaustnut.aspx
